CLASS TOTE December 2025 Through September-December 2025 I took a 'Sewing for Beginners' class via Nottingham City College, which helped me to develop the confidence to start making actual things. This simple tote bag is the first actual thing I made and presented in the last class of term. I had the idea of a 'business tote' to carry my lunch to work professionally and discreetly. I chose an inverse French seam for the edges to emphasise the contrast stitching against an otherwise plain face. I left the hem open for later customisations, including a swivel clip for attaching trolley tokens, keys, and clippable miscellany. The hand-stitching did not go to plan aesthetically but it remains attached.
